I am in desperate need of a laptop. Not only do I have a prosperous freelance business (thanks Oklahoma Today peeps), but I also need to wirelessly surf the net from any point in my house. With a baby, you must be ultra mobile!
So here is my dilemma, I really want a MacBook Pro but I'm going to need Office and some design programs, which skyrockets the price tag. (I am a journalist/publicist/advertiser/marketer and that makes me obligated to tell you that Macs are by far the best computers on the market. They are, trust me.) But in less time, I can get a perfectly fine chocolate brown Dell for less money with the appropriate programs. And, the chocolate brown color is very cute!

I have always been a mac lover, but I got an HP laptop through work, and I gotta say- it's pretty cool. You can do the same design things on a PC that you can on a mac (I have almost all Adobe software for PC). And of course, PCs are cheaper, so you can almost afford to buy all the software. I also have a Mac desktop computer, and it's a lot harder to fix when something goes wrong. Just a thought.
I have to tell you to consider the Dell.
Because if you get a Mac, I cannot be held responsible for any breaking and entering and stealing I may do.
Something to consider...
I just went through the laptop dilemma myself! I picked out a Toshiba and I looooove it. I almost went Mac, but Microsoft won out in the end. Sigh.... Wireless is revolutionary though, I gotta say. Good luck with the big decision!
