- Go through your phone book, call people and ask them to drive you to the airport. The ones who will drive you are your true friends. The rest aren't bad people; they're just acquaintances.

Do you not know that I am traveling and I need lots of blog entries to read while I am spending nights alone in my hotel room? For months, you have been consistent with your blog entries, keeping me laughing, crying, and the sorts. Now, a dry spell? Please post some new content, I have an entire weekend of free time to fill here. I am pondering going to the beach, but what do you do at the beach with no friends or family with you? Help me here!
Sincerely,
The Hypocrite

Okay, so I am not actually eating with him, but I am eating at his Oklahoma-themed restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. The menu has Bluebell ice cream with the desserts, so tempting! I am waiting for my meatloaf, we'll see how it tastes. Training for the new job is going well, I already miss my family. Sarasota is just like home, but with palm trees! And, people don't use their blinkers when they drive... I am the only one!

We are having lots of fun at our vacation in sunny California... well, except Derek who is a lovely shade of lobster red. You see, he often makes fun of my day-glow white skin and SPF 70 sunblock, but not anymore! After a day at the beach (Van loved the sand, hated the ocean) he has a blistering sunburn (Van and I are still a lovely porcelain hue).
And if you did not already hate me because my son has slept through the night since 4 weeks or the fact that I never had morning sickness, Van's first flight was a breeze, he slept the entire time. We'll see how the trip back goes... Well, we are off to the Long Beach Aquarium now, I'll check back in soon.

- We are furiously preparing for our vacation next week. California here we come!
- Derek and I both had dreams last night about experiencing tornadoes. Do you think that is weird?
- I can't believe Michelle completed 104 scrapbook pages in one weekend. Impressive!
- Even though I couldn't be less interested, we have been working on some gardening.
- When you go to dinner, go with John, his weird "no-sauce" approach to pizza eating can get the whole table a relatively free meal.
- Forget celebrity dance-offs, I challenge everyone to a type-off on Type Racer. Post your top score!
- Starting a conversation with "so I was listening to this interview with Al Gore on NPR" does not create a willing and eager audience, especially if it's my husband.
- I think it is acceptable for fashion icons to wear funny hats. I like it!

I still don't get it, but this music critic is calling it the "One Of The Most Brilliant Records You'll Hear This Year, Honestly."
