Van had his first haircut today. His stylist? Yours truly. Granted, I probably should have road tested my snipping skills before setting forth on my son's first haircut, but we made it through the process unscarred. Literally, I didn't cut him. Which is much better than the first time I cut his fingernails. Derek still won't let me near him with the clippers.
Derek calls the cut Beatles-inspired, I call it the best I could do while my son was wiggling around and screaming. And he did scream... the entire time. I am thinking paying a professional wouldn't be a bad idea in the future!

I love the chronology of pics. Good times- I cut my kids hair,too. Although I just have to use the electric clippers on them -it's hard to mess that up. He looks adorable!
